Reviewer Comments: Electra-Djerroldina, Queen of Volnoth has a problem. The Queen is expected to get pregnant, at a State Orgy, to provide her husband Viz-Igerd with the require heir, as who knew as third son he would actually be the king. The problem is that as she is a djinn only a man of her rank, or higher, can actually fertilize the eggs. What to do but find a strapping specimen to make all her responsibilities come true. She finds the perfect specimen in ‘Rhett. But ‘Rhett is reluctant to play any role in this charade.

‘Rhett is a White Knight and has standards, including his virginity, which he must uphold, well he will try and uphold them against Electra. He is also the son of the all important Dragon Saurian. ‘Rhett and Electra find themselves hurtling towards Earth on a quest. Them being together will only create one of the biggest scandals in all the worlds through the machinations of the Dragon and Electra’s brother.

It took a little time to find my feet in this world as I had not read the previous two books and felt I was missing some crucial information. There is a complicated family structure to try and absorb as the story moves and perhaps this is one of the elements that added to this insecurity reading about this world.

I liked the humor in the story particularly between ‘Rhett and Electra with one scene in particular relating to the chastity belt and others with the misunderstandings that occurred due to language or cultural differences between the characters. At times there seemed to be simple naivety in the characters and at others a complexity that is required for further development. There were definitely some original scenes I had never come across before which adds to the story.
